Lakehouse Link & Guest Suite Renovation

Overview
This lakehouse, built in 2002, felt undersized for the next generation of a growing family. To convert the detached garage to a guest suite was challenged by the county requirement that it be connected to the house.
The solution is a transparent passageway addition that “floats” above the sloped landscape while maintaining views of and access to the lake. A small boathouse, using similar materials as the main house, was incorporated at the water’s edge.
